Professor Cheng Chia Jui

Professor Cheng Chia Jui introduces us the International Agricultural Law in the first week of the Xiamen Academy of International Law summer program. He told us that International Agricultural Law is the branch of Public International Law which is concerned with how to overcome the poverty, hunger, malnutrition and how to conduct International agricultural trade on the basis of new principles of International agricultural law. He also introduces The Charter of Milan of 2015 Exposition in well reflected the urgent need to create a new international agricultural legal order within public international law. In his lecture, he is willing to answer all the questions asked by students. He always gives us new ideas about international agricultural law and the relationship between different international law. You can always see him energetic and passionate during the class.

Through our talks, we felt that he is a nice professor and willing to share his experiences in his professions and also his daily life. He is really a great scholar and professor.

It was my great honor to be an assistance of Professor Chia-Jui Cheng during XMA programme. As a Professor of International Law, Soochow University and Secretary-General of the XMA, professor Cheng attended the opening ceremony of the summer courses, and taught in the first week. Professor Cheng is a charismatic scholar. He is elegant and learned, and amiable as well. Not only he has a very high achievement in the field of international law, but also has a close attention and keen insight on the current events.

During several times talking with Professor Cheng, he all showed his abundant knowledge and humor. He was talkative, and was interested in many topics, the topics we were talking about included both national current affairs and the daily life of the people. His rich knowledge and deep insight have impressed us all.

In addition, professor Cheng cares about the development of the international law and the young generations. He made efforts to encourage the young international law scholars no matter in class or after class. And, he was always smiling and kind when he was talking. This kind of personal charm, the high sense of responsibility, and his top academic level have made us impressed and sincerely admire.
