The visit in the Xiamen Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District

On 20 July 2023, the foreign students from Xiamen Academy of International Law Summer Program 2023 had a visit in Xiamen Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District (MSRCLD) and learned about the development of the international and local legal service in Xiamen. 

The visit began with an introduction in the Legal Service Center of MSRCLD. Mr. Lu Yanbin, the officer of the Justice Department of Xiamen, firstly expressed warm welcome to the students and made a complete explanation about the function of the Legal Service Center. Mr. Lu emphasized that with the aim of improving the quality of legal service in Xiamen, the Legal Service Center not only provides a diverse dispute resolution mechanism which includes arbitration and mediation for the clients, but also establishes legal training basements for law school students and lawyers in Xiamen. 

The students were then given a tour of the Legal Service Center, which included visits to several offices of the law firms and governmental agencies. After that, the students watched the wonderful propaganda film of the MSRLCD and had a better understanding of the objection and development concepts about it.

During the tour, the students had the opportunity to meet with legal professionals and government officials, who provided them with valuable insights into the Chinese legal system and business environment. They were impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of the MSRLCD.

The students expressed their gratitude for the hospitality of Mr. Lu and all the staffs of MSRCLD. They thought that the experience had broadened their perspectives and promoted their interest in pursuing further studies of the Chinese legal system.
