A Successful Welcome Reception

On July 5th evening, the Secretary of Xiamen Academy organized a reception to welcome all participants to the 2009 Summer Program on the second floor of ZiQing Building. Snacks，drinks, fruits and local specialty food were offered in the reception.
Over 70 participants from different countries and areas took part in the reception. This is a good chance for the participants to get to know each other and communicate broadly. You can see participants enthusiastically talking to new friends about the class, professors and Xiamen University. The atmosphere of the reception was very heated and friendly.
Veronika from Czech talked to the reporter that she was very excited to look forward to the lectures given by so many famous professors. She has studied law in Xiamen University for a year. This was a precious chance, she said , to promote her study further.
The receiption lasted until 10pm. It was a beautiful night.
2009厦门国际法高等研究院暑期班学生招待会热烈举办
7月5日晚，2009厦门国际法高等研究院暑期班学生招待晚会在自钦楼二楼多媒体教室举行，对参加本次暑期班的学员表示欢迎。
十九点三十分，晚会正式开始。首先由厦门国际法高等研究院行政理事会秘书长陈辉萍教授致欢迎辞。陈教授对于各位同学的到来表示热烈欢迎，希望各位学员能够尽情的享受今晚的快乐时光。她希望来自各个国家的学员能够排除国别的差异，互相关照，愉快相处。最后她强调，前三届研修班都很成功，本届研修班招录的学员逾百人，我们也一定会办得更好，让大家不虚此行，满载而归，祝愿大家在厦门的三周生活愉快，学业精进。
随后，本期研修班班主任韩秀丽副教授向学员详细地介绍了次日的主要活动和注意事项，使学员倍感亲切和温暖。韩老师祝愿本届研修班取得圆满成功，并殷切希望各位学员珍惜机遇，提高掌握和驾驭国际法知识的本领，不断提升学术水平，广交各国朋友，她相信大家在研修班学习研讨的这一段时光会成为自己人生旅途中难忘的一段履历。
优美舒缓的音乐在耳边萦绕，气氛逐渐的热烈起来。大伙儿一边品尝着丰富美味的各色点心，一边根据各自感兴趣的话题自由组合，三五成群地闲聊起来，陌生感和国别观念顿时消失。大家互致问候，英语成了这里的主要交际语言。大家相互之间虽非十分熟识，但却有一种老友重逢的感觉，非常亲切。
时间很快过去，晚会将要结束了。大家都玩得非常尽兴，各自结识了不少朋友。对未来三周的学习，大家也都十分期待。
