  • It’s really great pleasure to have a chance to participate this summer program in Xiamen. I am a post-graduate student from Northwest University of Politics and Law in Xi’an city, northwest of China. It’s my first time to see the ocean which makes me very exciting. Because when I see the ocean, I feel my heart broaden immediately.

The earth consists of 71% water and 29% soil. According to such a geographic point, the nations in the world can divided into two types: land nation and ocean nation. Such geographic difference makes these two types of nation’s different cultures and characters. The ocean nation is more outgoing, aggressive, and ambitious than the land nation. They have the broader view. And these culture and character urges these ocean nations to explore, discovery and create.

In my opinion, the gap between developed countries and developing countries is mainly in the mind. The ocean nations are always those developed countries, and they have the more opened mind.

Today, we will finish this memorable summer program. Although Xiamen is a really beautiful place, and such summer program has been held here for few years, it doesn’t mean that the program just belongs to Xiamen or China, it should belong to whole Asia. Only with such heart will the program make much more influence every year. And with broaden heart, we students will make much more progress in this program.

Really thanks to this summer program and hope it can be held better and better!
