  • After two weeks of hard studying, participants of 2009 summer program welcomed their expected dancing party, which was held on the evening of July 17th.

The party attracted all the students and knowledgably professors of the Academy including Prof. John CHAO, Prof. GRAY and Prof. SHEARER. On this joyful evening, boys and girls from different countries wore their traditional costumes and decorations, and thus added a colorful and national picture to the party. The party was presided by Olivia from Philippine and Liu Zhengchao from China. All participants were amazed to see international law students are also very talented in singing, dancing and playing music.

The first show was a saxophone music “the flower of snow” played by Park Jae Hyun from Korea. His music attracted everyone in the party, who listened in quiet and burst into cheers when the last tune turned over. After such a splendid opening, the party’s atmosphere was heated. Buzina Ekaterina from Russia then delivered two traditional Russian songs with her mellow voice. And a Chinese participant Zhang Jiao had won thundered applause by singing Chinese traditional song “Good Days”. At the end, participants from Columbia brought everybody into a dancing world. Almost all participants including Prof. Shearer stepped into the stage and danced with the music. No one felt shy or hesitated. All were laughing, talking and enjoying.

The lively party lasted until half past ten. It was a great chance for participants to get to know each other better and explore different cultures deeper. Music became the world language here and expressed the mutual best wishes.
